Not far from Riccione, precisely in Misano Adriatico, there is The “Autodromo di Santa Monica” racing track, now called Misano World circuit, which plays host to 5 major rounds of the Moto GP Championship as well as the "Cinzano Grand Prix of San Marino and Rimini Riviera“ and the "San Marino Round" of the Superbike World Championship.

Misano circuit was designed in 1969. It has a 4,180 m long track and a 40,000 m2 paddock area. It offers 20,000 covered seats and 60,000 stand capacity and has a 300 m2 medical centre.
If you are a Motorcycle racing fan, at Misano World Circuit you can live numerous international events: Moto GP, Superbike, FIA European Truck Racing Championship, Ferrari Challenge, Sara Racing.

On the other hand, if you want to try the Misano World Circuit in person, there are many possibilities: Mototemporada, Peroni Promotion Incentive, free practice and “Supermotard” free practice.
Many MotoGP riders actually started to race in Misano: Loris Capirossi, Alex De Angelis, Andrea Dovizioso, Marco Melandri, Mattia Pasini, Manuel Poggiali, Valentino Rossi, Marco Simoncelli and Roberto Tamburini.
Sports car racing enthusiasts will be happy to know that there are 2 kart tracks in the area, Go-kart Riccione and Go-kart Riviera Verde.
These tracks are about 700 m long, with latest generation karts, parking facilities, bars and toilets.
They are accessible by public transport and remain open from April through to September.
World famous MotoGP and Formula 1 champions love kart tracks and circuits and many actually started their careers driving go-karts!
